CBR YouthConnect is pleased to announce that we are now a
TRICARE approved provider and contracted with
TriWest as an "In-Network" Provider.
What is TRICARE? TRICARE was created in the early 1990s and is the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) health care entitlement for active duty, Guard and Reserve and retired members of the military, and their eligible family members and survivors. TRICARE is not an insurance plan, but rather a health care entitlement earned by our nations military members for their service to this country.
What is
TriWest?
TriWest Healthcare
Alliance is a privately held corporation that contracts with the Department of Defense (DoD) to administer
TRICARE in a 21-state "West Region". There are also two other
TRICARE regions in the
United States, North Region and South Region.
TriWest is not an insurance company either, but rather a contractor to the DoD that administers the
TRICARE program.
CBR YouthConnect has a strong history and heritage with our military, from our campus originally being an Army Air Base in World War II to hosting Armed Forces Day celebrations.
"We are delighted to join the TriWest network", said CBR YouthConnect President Chuck Thompson. "For nearly 50 years, our organization has grown and evolved to meet the needs of society, and to now be able to provide our mental health and educational services to our
U.S. military service members and their families makes us very proud".
"Our campus was built at the site of La Junta Village, a World War II military facility. In that regard, becoming a part of this program holds a special meaning to us", Thompson said.
Residential Treatment for youth is covered under the TRICARE system. Therefore, this is a great opportunity for any family with eligible youth and in need of residential psychiatric treatment services! These services may cover the client for up to 150 days per calendar year.

EXCITING NEWS!!!
Our Medical Director/Psychiatrist Dr. Jonathan Hardy, MD, just received the highest recognition of distinction at the American Psychiatric Association in May. Dr. Hardy is recognized nationally and internationally as a foremost authority in child and adolescent psychopharmacology and mental health. His expert testimony is sought after nationwide. Our youth benefit so much from his expertise and we are pleased to report that 90% of the youth leave our care using fewer medications than upon admission.

We have updated our program and services to offer what we feel will be real life practical skills to the youth that are here at CBRYC. We feel giving them hands-on practical experience is a great way of giving them employable skills in preparing for return to their homes, families, and communities.
Thank you for your enduring partnership with CBR YouthConnect!
The Real Warriors Campaign is proud to include CBR Youth
Connect as a partner in
their efforts.
